“Freddie Flintoff vs The World” on ITV4, 25th January 2011

Darren Gough has taken the highest number of wickets for England in One Day Internationals but he is probably best known for his success on the UK reality show “Strictly Come Dancing”.

In episode 1 of this documentary-style series, Gough accompanies his former team-mate Andrew Flintoff on an adrenaline fuelled “War of the Roses”, pitting the towering Lancastrian against the mouthy Yorkshireman.

If you ever wondered how it would feel to have a paintballing match at 14,000 ft, what Darren Gough would look like in a Nacho Libre wrestling outfit, or whether Andrew Flintoff will don a pair of speedos for a cliff dive, all will be revealed in this light-hearted competition between the two cricketers.

“Freddie Flintoff vs The World” airs at 9pm on Tuesday 25th January 2011 on ITV4 in the UK only.

  1. Freddie Flintoff vs The World – Bit of a spoilsport – Almost forgot, I watched Freddie Flintoff vs the World on Tuesday! Not sure how I could have as it was definitely the highlight of my evening (if not the week). I guess I was just so traumatised by the horror that was ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’ that I temporarily forgot all that was good and right about the world i.e. The sight of a very fine specimen of a man doing stupid sh@t!
