Carrie Brownstein and Meredith Hagner in “Friendship” | Search Party: The Podcast | HBO Max

HBO Max published this video item, entitled “Carrie Brownstein and Meredith Hagner in “Friendship” | Search Party: The Podcast | HBO Max” – below is their description.

Carrie Brownstein and Meredith Hagner have a history together, not only did Brownstein direct an episode of Search Party but they starred together in the 2018 film, The Oath. “Friendships are really complex and I think the show explores the grey area of those complexities well; all the characters have moments of ‘why are we hanging out?’ yet they still do,” Hagner says of the dynamic between the main cast on the show. Along the way we also discuss how our own friendships can be born out of a sense of pain, the characters’ shared search for meaning and why the crew at their best when they have to step up and work together. We also discuss what it was like for Brownstein to direct Elliott’s opulent wedding scene and what inspired its over-the-top aesthetic.
