Slumdog Millionaire Actor Irrfan Khan Dies Aged 53

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died aged 53, following a brave battle with colon cancer.

Khan, who many considered one of India’s most talented actors, was known internationally for his roles in films like Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi, and Jurassic World.

The Bollywood star worked with directors of the calibre of Ang Lee, Mira Nair, and Wes Anderson, who wrote a part just so he could collaborate with him.

Khan is survived by his wife, television producer Sutapa Sikdar, and two sons, Babil and Ayan.
