Rad Humans Mama Vy and daughter Knoelle are on a mission to preserve historically Black music genres, like gospel, R&B and jazz. They co-founded the Mama Foundation For The Arts in 2006 to mentor the next generation of musical talent in Harlem and make sure this kind of music never dies. Upon graduation, alumni of the foundation can join their choir Sing Harlem, which has garnered praise from SZA, Chance the Rapper and other major artists. Sing Harlem joins the show to perform their first-ever single “Amazing Grace” in honor of MLK Day!
