Should Companies Stay Away From Pride? | Good Morning Britain

Good Morning Britain published this video item, entitled “Should Companies Stay Away From Pride? | Good Morning Britain” – below is their description.

During Pride month, a number of companies are being accused of “woke washing” by claiming to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community by rebranding their logos to feature a rainbow. Halifax were recently accused of virtue signalling tweeting a name badge of one of their employees that had pronouns. Meanwhile, it’s said Halifax has a huge gender pay gap issue with critics saying the bank should focus on addressing that before seeming to support pride. Are these companies really in a position to promote societal acceptance, or are they simply jumping on the LGBTQ+ bandwagon to increase their profits? Is it time to call out ‘rainbow capitalism’?
