All pubs and restaurants across central Scotland will be forced to shut down from tomorrow evening until the 25th October under new measures aimed at tackling a surge in coronavirus cases. The new rules will apply to licensed premises across the central belt, including Glasgow and Edinburgh. In other areas, they will be able to open, but can only serve alcohol outdoors. Scotland’s Deputy First Minister, John Swinney warns that if nothing is done then by the end of October we will see coronavirus levels the same as we had in March! Broadcast on 08/10/20
