Piers Loses It With the ‘PC Brigade’ Over Rugby Joke | Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan did his best “Joe Everyman” impression on Good Morning Britain, by defending England rugby union prop forward, Joe Marler, for what was apparently grab to the crotch on Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones, during Saturday’s Guinness Six Nations match between the two sides.

From the Good Morning Britain YouTube Channel:

Footage showing Joe Marler grabbing Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones’ genitals during the Six Nations clash at Twickenham has prompted a furious debate, with the on-field incident having been missed by all officials, including the TMO. Possible disciplinary action is now being looked into against Marler. However, Piers has defended the rugby player, saying ‘the world has gone nuts’ and ‘the PC brigade is alive and well’. Should Joe Marler be punished for this incident?

Piers Morgan loves nothing more than an opportunity to get furious about the “PC brigade” from Twitter, whom he perceives to be weak snowflakes. But was what Marler did acceptable? Have things changed? Vinnie Jones did a similar thing to Paul “Gazza” Gasgoigne in a football shirt many years ago, and nobody really batted an eyelid… except maybe Gazza.
