Nintendo has celebrated 25 years of the Legend of Zelda with a performance of the music from the game, rearranged for a 70 piece symphony orchestra and full choir. The concert took place in Los Angeles and featured appearances from Koji Kondo – the Nintendo in-house composer – as well as Eiji Aonuma, The Legend of Zelda producer.

The game was first released on Famicom disk in Japan in 1986, closely followed by a cartridge version in the US and Europe in 1987. The latest game in the Zelda series, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, launches in the United States on 20th November 2011.
