Jade Goody was buried this month – thousands turned out for her funeral on April 4th 2009 – but the former reality TV star’s publicity machine rumbles on: her former business partner and friend, Danny Hayward, has confirmed that a musical about Goody’s 27 year life is to be created.
Jade’s publicist, Max Clifford, however, was more muted when asked about the project, stating:
“It’s an idea that’s got legs, but nothing definite. Its not all signed and sealed, but it’s something that’s likely to happen”
Clifford also confirmed that talks to make a film of the star’s life were ongoing and looked promising.
This news will surely test the countenance of those such as Michael Parkinson for a public which seems to applaud a role model whom the BBC’s stalwart described as “all that is paltry and wretched about Britain.”
There is no greater honour in the world of arts and culture than playing Jade Goody in a West End musical.
