Before ever taking a meeting, Cynthia Erivo earned some R-E-S-P-E-C-T from the producers of Genius: Aretha by singing on a red carpet.

Erivo was making her entrance at the 2019 Tony Awards when a reporter asked her to name her guilty-pleasure song.
