Good Morning Britain published this video item, entitled “Love Island’s Sharon Gaffka Speaks Passionately On Spiking Epidemic & Shares Her Experiences | GMB” – below is their description.
Campaigners say spiking has reached “epidemic” levels in the UK and is now so common that it can “happen to anyone”. Figures suggest that 1 in 6 women have been the victim of spiking. The Home Affairs Select Committee is currently calling for evidence as part of its inquiry into spiking. Love Island star Sharon Gaffka has been gathering her own testimonials to formally submit to the Inquiry. She currently has around 1,000 accounts. Sharon is motivated by her own experience of being spiked while out for drinks at a restaurant after the first lockdown.
