The frenchman’s car was cut in 2 and exploded into a fireball after ploughing into a steel crash barrier on the opening lap of the race. Grosjean has since credited his miraculous escape to the Halo head protection device which was introduced into the sport 2 years ago. Formula 1 legend David Coulthard and FIA Doctor Dr Ian Roberts who arrived first at the scene of the crash in the medical car discuss the accident.
