Mae Muller kicks off a month of exclusive MTV PUSH content with a performance of her smash hit with NEIKED and Polo G ‘Better Days’!
North London native Mae Muller first discovered the magic of songwriting at the age of 19, after years of exploring her artistic side through creative writing. “At the time I was quite bored and not very happy with my life and I thought, ‘What have I got to lose?’” says Muller, who was then bartending at a local pub. “One day I was on the train to where my dad lives, just starting at the window, and I decided to try to write a song. I don’t even know how I managed to do it—I didn’t have a backing track or anything, it was basically a poem that I put music to later on.” A hypnotic R&B number called “Close,” that song quickly gained traction online, setting in motion her rise to international acclaim.
“Better Days” first premiered in September 2021 and amassed over 65 million streams in just five days, along with earning Top 10 charting across Spotify and Apple and emerging as a Top 5 trending sound on both TikTok and Snap. “Better Days” also went on to feature in the Los Angeles Times “100 Best Songs of 2021”.
Mae continues to take the world by storm, recently making her U.S. primetime television debut performing the chart-climbing hit on “The Voice” and closing out 2021 performing with Polo G on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve in Los Angeles.
2022 is looking just as bright for Mae after announcing her first-ever U.S. shows, which will take place in March. Known for her stunning vocals, unapologetic honesty, and intimate yet high-energy live set, Mae will perform in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. With her upcoming live dates also including a rescheduled 2022 tour of the U.K., Mae has previously sold out a U.K. headlining tour and performed for massive crowds at festivals like Reading & Leeds, Bestival, Latitude, and Sundown Festival.
With over 390 million streams globally and her debut album set for release later this year we can’t wait to see what’s next for Mae and are so excited to announce her as our first global MTV PUSH artist for 2022.
