Social media star Oli London has caused controversy around the world, after claiming to have transitioned race. Last week the British-born influencer, who recently came out as non-binary, said they had undergone what Oli described as “racial transition surgery” because they “identify as Korean”. Critics have accused Oli of cultural appropriation, but the influencer said they want people to respect their decision. Amidst a global backlash, Oli joins us today to tell us how they are preparing for a new life “as a Korean”.
