How is the Queen Spending Summer this Year?

The Royal Family Channel published this video item, entitled “How is the Queen Spending Summer this Year?” – below is their description.

‘What Does the Queen Do On Her Summer Holidays?’

While at Balmoral Castle during the summer months, the royals “act as normal people—to a point,” according to Lord Lichfield, a former photographer for the family. He also said lunch is always outdoors and they go on daily expeditions.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair said that, when in Scotland, Her Majesty even washes up after dinner. “You think I’m joking, but I’m not”, he said. “They put the gloves on and stick their hands in the sink. The Queen asks if you’ve finished, she stacks the plates up and goes off to the sink.”

The Queen is known to explore the grounds on horseback or in a Range Rover, and before he died, Prince Philip liked to spend his time manning the grill.

While Blair once called the castle “freaky”, granddaughter Princess Eugenie called it “the most beautiful place on earth. She said she thinks her Grandmother is “most happy there”. And that she “really, really loves the Highlands.”
