Winter Soldier Co-Creator Slams Marvel – IGN The Fix: Entertainment

IGN published this video item, entitled “Winter Soldier Co-Creator Slams Marvel – IGN The Fix: Entertainment” – below is their description.

In today’s IGN The Fix: Entertainment, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has definitely brought new fans to Disney Plus, but it seems one of the co-creators of the Winter Soldier, Ed Brubaker, isn’t so thrilled at seeing the Winter Soldier on the Marvel Disney+ series. In 2005 Ed Brubaker, along with artist Steve Epting, breathed new life into the character by creating a new back-story and concept, the Winter Soldier. Ed Brubaker’s work on Captain America also greatly influenced the direction the MCU has taken with their on-screen outings, specifically in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. The Falcon and Winter Soldier may be a hit for both Marvel Studios and Disney, but this co-creator isn’t really feeling it regarding Falcon and Winter Soldier. The Ed Brubaker Winter Soldier situation makes you wonder about work-for-hires and Marvel Studios. #FalconandWinterSoldier

We got the first Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer, along with a pretty dope poster and official images. As an extra “birthday present”, Marvel Studios surprised actor Simu Liu by dropping the trailer alongside a happy birthday tweet. The Shang Chi teaser gives us a great look at both the action and outfit of the titular character Simu Liu portrays, Shang Chi. Simu Liu also took to Twitter to show off Shang-Chi all suited up in this red and black tactical outfit. The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings reactions are coming in, and fans are here for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings release date is September 3rd.

And finally in your entertainment news, Netflix’s Love, Death and Robots season 2, it’s already been renewed for a third! The second volume of the anthology series will premiere with eight episodes on May 14th, with the third volume consisting of another eight dropping sometime in 2022. The first season of the Tim Miller produced series had 18 episodes, and took years to complete. So the creative team and Netflix thought fans would benefit more from having some this year and some more next. The Love, Death and Robots season 2 trailer will truly excite fans, and just seeing the Love, Death and Robots season 2 reactions have us excited as well. All this in today’s IGN The Fix: Entertainment with Akeem Lawanson!
