Among Us! Fall Guys! Phasmophobia! All these great games have one thing in common. They were complete surprises for most of us in the year 2020. Today’s episode of Inside Gaming is all about celebrating our favorite surprise breakout hits of the year!
It started out with those loveable little jelly beans in Fall Guys jostling their way to that coveted crown. Then suddenly Among Us was everywhere and even being streamed by political officials. Lastly, Phasmophobia clips took over the internet as people recorded themselves being total chickens playing a video game. Shut up we’re not scared, you’re scared.
Even though this year has been packed full of pandemic-induced anxiety, political tension, and overly hyperbolic videogame discourse – it’s been nice to have these really wholesome video game surprises to take our minds off things for a bit.
