The Best Movie of 2021: IGN’s Nominations

IGN published this video item, entitled “The Best Movie of 2021: IGN’s Nominations” – below is their description.

2020 was a generally uneventful year for movies, as release schedules shuffled in the wake of the pandemic — which means there was a lot in store for 2021. Blockbusters were officially back this year, but so were artful indies, and everything that moved us from tears to cheers. Whether you were heading back to theaters for the first time or staying hunkered on the couch, there were plenty of new films to keep you entertained. With the year coming to a close, we’ve rounded up the best of the best movies 2021 had to offer.

From sweeping sci-fi epics about Chose One prophets to small character studies set in the Portland culinary scene, body horror instant-classics, MCU blockbusters, big-screen adaptations of beloved Broadway plays, and much more, these are our nominees for the best movies of 2021. Check out IGN’s full list of movie awards for 2021 on IGN.com, but otherwise dig in here on our list of potential movie of the year winners, including Candyman, Dune, In the Heights, Pig, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Green Knight, The Mitchells vs. The Machines, The Suicide Squad, Titane, and West Side Story.
