Star Trek: Discovery returns this week for its fourth season, and IGN is debuting the first exclusive clip from the new season of the Paramount Plus series.

The clip comes from the Discovery Season 4 premiere episode, “Kobayashi Maru.” It offers the first look at the Starfleet Academy reopening after 125 years as Captain Burnham introduces the new Federation President Rillak, played by Chelah Horsdal. President Rillak also debuts the newly constructed Spacedock, which is named after a famous person from Starfleet’s history…

Here’s the logline for Star Trek Discovery Season 4 from Paramount Plus:

“Season 4 of Star Trek: Discovery finds Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery faces a threat unlike any they’ve ever encountered. With Federation and non-Federation worlds alike feeling the impact, they must confront the unknown and work together to ensure a hopeful future for all.”

Sonequa Martin-Green stars in Discovery as Captain Michael Burnham. Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, David Ajala, and Blu del Barrio also star in the new season.
