Google is sunsetting both of their Stadia exclusive game studios in an attempt to save more money while simultaneously growing their cloud gaming platform. While video games are incredibly expensive to make the plan does seem a little backwards considering exclusives are a proven way to bring new players to your gaming ecosystem.

A Nintendo financial brief revealed that we likely aren’t getting a new version of the Switch anytime soon. It’s a little disappointing to hear since there have been plenty of rumors claiming otherwise but considering how well the Switch is selling now – it makes sense Nintendo would hold out for as long as possible.

This week’s most surprising news has to be Embracer’s purchase of Gearbox Software for $363 million dollars. Embracer also owns THQ Nordiq, Koch Media, and Saber Interactive. All five-hundred and fifty employees will remain employed and Randy Pitchford will maintain a leadership role within the company.

Lastly, EA Sports is making a new College Football game and the broader company will be bringing a remastered version of the Mass Effect trilogy to market May 14th.

Stick around for a casual coming soon section and this weeks 5-second review of Destruction All-Stars. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
