Marvel’s Midnight Suns was announced last week at Gamescom but it was hard to imagine such a varied roster of dynamic characters starring in a tactical RPG.

As the fates would have it, new Midnight Suns trailers dropped this week after an exclusive live stream on IGN. One video was a gameplay reveal and the other was an overview of the core features in Midnight Suns.

As it turns out the game is more like Slay the Spire or Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle where you use a randomized hand of cards to activate superpowers and abilities across a team of three heroes.

Looks like the game will have 12 playable characters at launch with more on the way, there are customizable cosmetics, and a hub area where you can build up relationships with the likes of Tony Stark, Captain America, Ghost Rider, Magik, Nico, Blade, and Doctor Strange.

You play as a wholly original marvel character called The Hunter tasked with bringing down Lilith Mother of Demons… who also happens to be your mom too. Wild. Anyways we put together a quick look at this game so you could check it out.

Let us know what you think about Midnight Suns in the comments and thanks for watching.
