IGN and its owners Ziff Daivs and J2 Global are at ends this week as the latter committed a corporate overreach to censor a blog IGN posted in support of those suffering in Palestine.
The blog post went up on IGN last Friday and listed a number of charities like Doctors Without Borders, as a means to aid those impacted by the increased military aggression and bombings from the Israeli military.
The post vanished over the weekend and now a large number of IGN staffers have organized and signed an open letter to their owners and parent companies asking for answers. The story is currently developing and more should shake out next week.
In other news the Discovery Warmer merger could break up the WB Games Studios, CD Projekt Red is now facing a combined lawsuit, the Call of Duty Warzone developers have now banned over 500k malicious player accounts, there’s a new TimeSplitters in the works, and Twitch is cracking down on the hot tub meta.
This week’s 5-Second Review is a double feature in which Brian reviews Mass Effect Legacy Edition and also… space? It’s another monster of a coming soon section this week so get ready to hear about some new games!
Have a great weekend and thanks for watching.
