The game is shaping up to be quite a bit messier than we could have previously imagined. It isn’t often you hear about significant troubles for a flagship first party title like Halo Infinite but it’s already been a rough couple of weeks for the Chief. The reception to the Halo Infinite gameplay trailer earlier this summer was warm at best and it was met with a lot of criticism about its technical and visual ascetic. Shortly after Microsoft announced they would be delaying the games launch to a later date. Reports have also surfaced that Halo Infinite was largely outsourced causing issues with communication throughout the games development. The latest rumor of course purports that as a reactionary measure, Halo leads might abandon the Xbox One version of the game so the PC and Xbox Series X versions can soar. Xbox Series X and Series S are upcoming home video game consoles developed by Microsoft. They are both scheduled to be released on November 10, 2020 as the fourth generation of the Xbox console family, succeeding Xbox One.
Rumors regarding the consoles first emerged in early-2019, with the line as a whole codenamed “Scarlett”, and consisting of high-end and low-end models codenamed “Anaconda” and “Lockhart” respectively.
The high-end model was first teased during E3 2019 under the title “Project Scarlett”, while its name and design as Xbox Series X was unveiled during The Game Awards later in December. In September 2020, Microsoft unveiled the low-end model as Xbox Series S.
