Shawn Layden, former head of Sony Worldwide Studios, doesn’t think the constant push for Triple-A game development is healthy for the industry, especially since the price for those games hasn’t moved in years. As the cost for game development goes up, the retail price for games should go up to match, or find a way to develop smaller games at a more reasonable pace.
