IGN spoke with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness screenwriter, Michael Waldron (Loki, Heels) about spoilers regarding the latest Marvel film, which follows Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) on a multiversal journey to fight a powerful and dangerous adversary. Waldron explains the process of assembling the special cameos of the Illuminati, evoking iconic imagery and sounds with Kevin Feige, Sam Raimi, and Danny Elfman’s teams, and even digging into his own love of wrestling to view one of the big fights in a new way.

Also appearing in the film are Wong (Benedict Wong), America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), and Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor).
