Kate Bingham was made a Dame in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list last week, as the Queen and the nation showed their appreciation to people who have a played a huge part in the UK’s battle against Covid.
Kate is the ex-head of the UK vaccines taskforce and it’s fair to say, took on quite an important job, after being personally called by the Prime Minister.
She talked about how it was her daughter who persuaded her to take the job, why she thinks women are finally being taken seriously in the world of science, and THE MOMENT she realised that the vaccines worked!
