On this day in 1971, shooting began on the lift fight scene between Bond and Peter Franks in DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER. Designer Ken Adam said, “We built a small elevator on set. The fight was brilliantly staged and designed, and it was quite dangerous because you had very little room to shoot it in.”
