Film: Cloud Atlas – Out February 2013

From the makers of The Matrix & Run Lola Run, Cloud Atlas is a dreamscape of a story featuring interconnected lives across space & time.

Directed by Tom Tykwer, Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski, the tale elaborates on the theme of de ja vu.

Fans of The Matrix & Inception will enjoy this layered fantasy plot line, which echoes the directors’ interest in conspiracies behind existence.

Each actor in the film plays a number of roles – up to six in some cases. Tom Hanks called the experience “ridiculously good fun – professionally, it’s a ridiculous amount of work”. Halle Berry played a man & a Jewish-German woman, an experience which she called “groundbreaking”.

Hugh Grant got to play a 23rd century cannibal chieftain – “for that reason alone I’m doing this job! There was very little throat-slitting in Sense & Sensibility. I always thought there should be more”.
