A new survey by the Royal College of GPs has revealed that just one in ten GP appointments are now face to face after changes were made to the way doctors and patients interacted during the lockdown. Sixty-one percent of consultations are carried out over the phone and around 10 percent have been organized by text, email, or via online video calls.
Is this the way things will remain, and do they mean it will be easier for us to get an appointment in the future? Or is face-to-face interaction essential?
Is our elderly generation ready for such a change?
