Conor Benn Emotionally Describes His Sacrifices To Follow Dad Nigel’s Boxing Footsteps | GMB

Good Morning Britain published this video item, entitled “Conor Benn Emotionally Describes His Sacrifices To Follow Dad Nigel’s Boxing Footsteps | GMB” – below is their description.

Born into boxing royalty, and billed as the UK’s next ring superstar, Conor Benn is knocking out opponents on his ruthless route to World Championship status. And ahead of his next, and biggest fight yet (next week), Conor joins us in the studio alongside one of his biggest fans… his father, and British boxing legend, Nigel Benn. Recognised as one of our most iconic champions, Nigel Benn became a two-weight world champion in his 90s heyday, enjoying a classic rivalry with Chris Eubank, and firmly believes his son will go on to achieve more than he did in the ring. And as well as chasing world championship glory, Conor is just as keen to dispel the doubters, who continually point to his surname as being the sole reason for his success. Moving away from his family as a teenager in order to train in the UK, Conor will open up about how difficult this has been for him, the upset being away from his family regularly causes him.
