Billy Caldwell’s Mum Explains Why Medicinal Cannabis Should Be Available On The NHS | This Morning

This Morning published this video item, entitled “Billy Caldwell’s Mum Explains Why Medicinal Cannabis Should Be Available On The NHS | This Morning” – below is their description.

Billy Caldwell and his mother Charlotte made international headlines in 2018 when her struggle to obtain a cannabis-based medicine for her son, who was enduring up to 400 seizures a day at the time, led to the legalization of medicinal cannabis in the U.K. Two years later, the Caldwell’s made headlines once again when Billy was prescribed the medicinal cannabis he needed on the NHS. It’s been over a year now since Billy had a seizure, but despite the progress, Charlotte believes the fight is far from over. She joins us alongside her son Billy from their home in County Tyrone, to tell us why she is still campaigning to help families like hers. And doctor Ellie Cannon joins us in the studio to explain how medicinal cannabis works.
