Commonwealth Games: Men’s 10M Synchro Diving Results

On Tuesday 12th October 2010, Tom Daley and Max Brick took gold for England in the Delhi Commonwealth Games. Daley battled through a triceps injury to get to the final with his diving partner, Max Brick. Brick said of the result: “That’s my first major title. I can’t keep the smile off my face. I’m so happy.”

The full results were as follows:

  • Tom Daley & Max Brick – ENGLAND – 439.65 points – Gold medals
  • Matthew Mitcham & Ethan Warren – AUSTRALIA – 423.81 points – Silver medals
  • Eric Sehn & Kevin Geyson – CANADA – 394.80 points
  • Ooi Tze Liang & Muhammad Abd Rashid – MALAYSIA – 372.30 points

As Commonwealth rules stipulate that five teams must compete in order to award a full array of medals, the Canadians just lost out on a bronze medal. Many Commonwealth countries do not have a 10m synchro diving team, and so bronze medals are seldom awarded during the tournament.
