Siemens Heathineers to Buy Varian in $16.4 Billion Deal

Aug.03 — Siemens Healthineers AG Chief Executive Officer Bernd Montag discusses the company’s agreement to buy Varian Medical Systems for about $16.4 billion in cash in the biggest medical acquisition of the year, giving Healthineers a sizable market share in the rapidly growing field of cancer treatment.
