Yahoo! Shopping has unvealed its predictions for the most popular gifts in the USA over the “holiday season” which traditionally begins with Thanksgiving at the end of November and continues through to Christmas and the New Year.
Yahoo! Shopping predicts the following items to be the best sellers for 2010:
- iPads
- iPhones and Motorola Droid cell phones
- Sing-a-ma-jigs toys
- Microsoft Kinect for Xbox
- Jewelry
- Digital cameras
The Holiday Shopping Intentions and Attitude Survey was conducted by an independent firm for Yahoo! and also predicts that consumers in the US will spend approximately $900 over the holiday season on gifts for about 12 people.

Thanksgiving is best known as a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November every year, usually through feasting, parades and travel to see family and friends, though celebrations were scaled back during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.
