Stanford published this video item, entitled “Stanford Energy System Innovations — SESI” – below is their description.
The new Stanford Energy System Innovations (SESI) is the epitome of utilizing a campus as a living laboratory for developing sustainable and scalable solutions. SESI represents a transformation of the University energy supply from 100 percent fossil-fuel-based combined heat and power plant, to grid-sourced electricity and a more efficient electric heat recovery system. This new system, along with Stanford’s solar power procurement, reduces campus emissions approximately 68% from peak levels and save 18% of campus potable water.
