Nissan CEO Uchida: Ready to Make Deep Cost Cuts if Business Worsens

Mar.03 — Nissan Motor Co. is ready to make deeper cuts to fixed costs if the business deteriorates, Chief Executive Officer Makoto Uchida said. In an exclusive interview with Bloomberg’s Reed Stevenson, he has promised to unveil a turnaround plan in May. This is Uchida’s very first TV interview since taking the helm of the struggling Japanese automaker last December.
