In the 2021 offseason, the NFL sent out a memo to inform all 32 teams that beginning in 2022, every club would be permitted to wear an alternate helmet.

For all the complaints the NFL has received over the years – the vast majority of them justified – this announcement and rule change was universally well-received by the football world. It shouldn’t have taken this long, but we suppose it’s always better late than never.

Up to this point, nearly one-half of the teams – 13 total – have introduced an alternate helmet. Here is how we would rank those 13 new helmets for the 2022 season.
