Lockhart: Fed to Stay the Course With Accommodative Policy

Jun.10 — Former Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Dennis Lockhart discusses the central bank’s policy and the U.S. economy. Chairman Jerome Powell sent a powerful message Wednesday that the Fed will keep pumping stimulus into the economy until its traumatized labor market has healed from the harm of the coronavirus pandemic. The Fed signaled it would keep rates near zero possibly for years to come. Lockhart speaks on “Bloomberg Daybreak: Australia.”
