Equinor CEO Sees ‘Fragile’ Situation in Oil Market for Some Time

Jul.24 — Norway’s state-controlled oil producer Equinor ASA reported a surprise profit, helped by trading gains, in what Executive Officer Eldar Saetre called the “most dramatic quarter in the history of the oil markets.” The Stavanger-based company reported an adjusted net profit of $646 million, well ahead of the expected loss of $250 million in a Bloomberg survey. Saetre speaks on “Bloomberg Markets: European Open.”
