Arrested Development Episodes 7 – 12 on FX

Arrested Development is a mixture of dry wit and traditional American slapstick following the fortunes of a rich US family caught up in financial scandal. In the ensuing fallout, the eldest son Michael must coax his mother, sisters and brothers away from reliance on money from the family frozen banana business and into an independent lifestyle.

Episode 7: My Mother The Car

Lucille and Lindsay find their powers of manipulation waning and set about unique methods of getting their way. Meanwhile GOB tries to escape on the family yacht, but not before agreeing to make fake ID’s for George Michael and Maeby.

Episode 8: In God We Trust

Michael attempts to fire the family lawyer but doesn’t account for his mother’s wily ways. Meanwhile the family prepare for the annual staged painting pageant involving the family recreation of a famous painting in public. George Bluth gets let out of prison specially for the occasion to take his place as God, but George Michael gets a bit too attached to the muscle suit.

Episode 9: Storming the Castle

After Lindsay says that Michael is too much of a “good guy” to make a move on Marta, he devises a plan to have the girlfriend meet Gob’s second lover during his magic act. George Sr. discovers Judaism.

Episode 10: Pier Pressure

Buster convinces George Michael to procure some marijuana to treat Lucille Austero’s vertigo. George Michael asks Gob, who lets slip to Michael. Unsure what to do, Michael reverts to his father’s method of arranging an elaborate scheme to teach his son a lesson. Maeby struggles for a way to rebel against her neglectful parents and chooses to take sides with her grandmother.

Episode 11: Public Relations

Michael meets an attractive publicist in the gym and decides that the family needs a PR makeover. Each member of the family is given a task, namely to get jobs and stop brawling in smart restaurants.

Episode 12: Marta Complex

The family are perfectly happy holding a Valentine’s party until Michael makes a speech about the meaning of true love. Everybody realises that they are unhappy and relationships start to unravel. Meanwhile, Gob’s inability to speak his girlfriend’s native tongue catches up with him and he begins a quest to hunt down the man he believes to be having an affair with her: “hermano”.
