Veuve Clicquot UK Business Woman of the Year: Last Chance to Nominate

The last chance to nominate lady entrepreneurs for the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Awards is close. Nominations must be received by 18th January and include full accounts, press cuttings and curriculum vitae in order to be considered by the judges. The winning nominator will receive a gift of a case of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 1998.

Established in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the legendary founder of the sponsor champagne house, The Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is now live in 16 countries and is the first international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women have made to business life. Over recent years the award has evolved to reflect the place of Corporate Social Responsibility in modern business with an emphasis on strong ethics and low environmental impact.

The winner of the award will be announced at a champagne reception at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London on 23rd March 2010. Winners and finalists of the 2009 Award include:

Winner: Dame Gail Rebuck, Chief Executive of Random House Group
Finalists: Harriet Green, Chief Executive of electronics supplier Premier Farnell
Cath Kidston, Founder & Chief Executive of homeware store Cath Kidston
Kate Bleasdale, Vice Chairman of recruiter Healthcare Locums
Ruby Mc Gregor Smith, Chief Executive of outsourcing company MITIE Group
