USA Weather: Atlanta, Georgia, Experiences First White Christmas Since 1882

, , USA, experienced its first White since 1882, after around 1.2 inches of were deposited in the Atlanta metropolitan region on the morning of Saturday, December 25 2010.

The rare snowfall added between 2 and 7 inches in certain areas in the north of the state of Georgia, with the north Georgia mountains experiencing the heaviest showers.

The current cold in the Atlanta area is expected to last until Tuesday, 28th December.
