UK’s Prince Harry Arrives in United States for Apache Helicopter Training

The third in line to the British throne, Prince Harry, has arrived in the United States to complete his apache helicopter training. Captain Wales – as he is referred to when serving with the armed forces – landed in California on Thursday 6th October 2011.

The Prince will spend two months on the West coast at US air bases; Naval Air Facility El Centro in California and Gila Bend Auxiliary Air Force Base in Arizona.

As part of Exercise Crimson Eagle, the Prince will learn dust landings and take part in live fire exercises. The training is part of the UK’s Army Apache conversion to role course.
