UK Media: Dominic Mohan Appointed New Editor of The Sun Newspaper
Dominic Mohan will take over as the new editor of The Sun newspaper next month when Rebekah Brooks leaves to begin her new role as Chief Executive of News International.
Mohan, who has been deputy editor for The Sun since 2007, has worked for the newspaper for more than 13 years, during which he has run the features department, as well as editing the Bizarre showbusiness column.
The new editor has received support from Brooks, who described him as “a talented successor” and James Murdoch (chairman of the parent company in Europe and Asia) who said Mohan had “proved himself a very capable deputy [to Rebekah Brooks]“.
Mohan explained how he “cannot wait to get started” working on the UK’s largest newspaper, which sells in excess of three million copies each day.
