Tom Daley last night won gold in the 10m diving World Championship contest held in Rome. The 15 year old is also one of the UK’s youngest Olympians – he was 14 at the Beijing Olympics and had previously had special dispensation to compete in the Australian Youth Olympic Festival at the age of ten. Daley finished with a flourish – receiving four tens for a three-and-a-half back somersault.
