Tigo DRC Agrees on Mobile Equipment Sharing with Helios Towers DRC

Tigo DRC, a subsidiary of Millicom International Cellular S.A., has announced the sale of 729 mobile phone towers to Helios Towers DRC, a direct subsidiary of Helios Towers Africa. The masts will be sold for $45 million in addition to a minority stake in Helios Towers DRC.

Furthermore, under a long-term leasing agreement, Helios Towers DRC will give Tigo DRC access to wireless communications towers. This is the third deal between Millicom and Helios in Africa following successful partnerships in Ghana and Tanzania.
