Comedian Adrian Edmondson tries his hand at sheep dog herding on the farm with Philip and Carol Mellin in this series focusing on the rural life of the Yorkshire Dales in England.
The episode also introduces viewers to The Reverend Ann Chapman who oversees services at four churches in upper Wensleydale. The service at Stalling Busk usually turns up between two and six people in the congregation. Worse still, there’s no organ to accompany the tiny chorus when they sing hymns.
In this program, Izzy Lane takes centre stage as the along with farmer Ernest Ayre. The pair buy rare breed sheep and use the wool to supply various fashion lines using Izzy’s contacts from her early life in London. A committed vegetarian, Izzy has even converted her trusty farming pal to giving up eating meat from the animals he tends.
