Follow Kate and Wills around the UK capital on the day of their wedding which will alter the line of succession to the British and Commonwealth throne as well as pull in around 2 billion viewers worldwide.
Created by The Appstillery, the app is available for iPhone, iPod and iPad. Here’s what the company have to say about the software:
iDo combines GPS with sophisticated mapping technology to show the position of the couple, as well as your current position if you’re present at the wedding itself. These positions are highlighted on several exquisite hand-drawn maps, created by renowned artist Katherine Baxter, who has created artwork for many of Britain’s leading companies, newspapers and magazines, as well as designing one of the new stamps for the 2012 Olympics.
iDo uses Katherine’s maps to track and show the location of the happy couple over the course of the whole, historic day. In addition to the royal procession, and your position, the maps also show many of London’s most significant buildings and locations. The app provides detailed background on their construction, use and history across the centuries.
iDo provides valuable information for everyone present in London on the big day itself, with additional maps showing bus routes, underground stations and services around your location, ensuring everyone present can enjoy the magical event to the full.
Finally iDo will also track and display the important and authoritative Twitter feeds across the entire course of the day, displaying them within the App, to ensure users don’t miss anything important, no matter where they are.
Every user who downloads iDo: Follow London’s Royal Wedding is automatically entered in a free prize-draw to win an extremely limited print of Katherine Baxter’s map of London’s Royal Wedding – signed by the artist herself.
