Rugby Union: David Denton Returns to Training Ahead of Calcutta Cup 2012

Scotland’s back-row forward, David Denton, returned to training today ahead of their RBS 6 Nations 2012 opener against old enemies England on Saturday 4th February at Murrayfield.

The player had been forced to withdraw from his club side, Edinburgh, ahead of their Heineken Cup clash with London Irish just over a week ago, after he was suffering from hamstring pain, but has now returned to training prompting hopes of fitness for this weekend’s big match.

Joe Ansbro, of London Irish, has been unable to recover from a back injury for the Scots, however, and returns to his club for the time being.

Tickets for Saturday’s Calcutta Cup match with England have long since sold out, meaning Scotland v England will be attended by 67,144 spectators. The match will kick off at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET) on saturday 4th February 2012.
