Royal Wedding 2011: William and Kate Sweet Dispensers to be Auctioned

The William and Kate PEZ Dispenser

As royal wedding fever grips the UK, PEZ sweet dispensers have created a special William and Kate sweet dispenser based on the British couple.

Offers can be made for the royal PEZ couple on the ‘eBay for Charity’ auction platform from 7th to 17th April 2011. The proceeds will all go to a charity supported by Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Head of Marketing at PEZ, Gabriele Hofinger, commented:

“The excitement worldwide about William and Kate’s forthcoming wedding was the perfect opportunity for us to create this uniquely designed PEZ sweet-dispenser. This wholly original item will symbolise appreciation for our extensive community of collectors as well as serving a charitable purpose. The ‘eBay for Charity’ auction enables us to achieve both these aims.”

PEZ sells 80 million sweet-dispensers and 4.6 billion sweets every year. PEZ sweet dispensers are collector’s items and the ‘Astronaut B’ model sold in 2006 for US $32,000.
